Once we were able to get enough of the pantie liners pulled off the windshield to see out, we drove to the hotel that Steven's parents stayed at so his dad could drive us to the airport.
At the airport, I got the full
body pat down at security, because I had too many bobby pins in my hair. Steven just watched and laughed. Once we arrived at our gate, we learned that our flight had been delayed an hour. After boarding the plane, I decided it would be the perfect time for a quickie-- quickie nap that is. 
Upon arrival in Las Vegas, we got off the plane to find one of the airport employs exclaiming, "It is really snowing out there."Steve and I looked out the window and had to stare out for a minute to see a small snow flurry. We laughed and went to pick up our luggage. As soon as we got our luggage, we were able to get a cab to our hotel, Mandalay Bay. Our cab driver was a smaller Asian guy who told us he had to go very slow because he was afraid to slide. Again, we just laughed. Once we arrived at our hotel, we checked into our room on the 21st floor. It was really nice. It had a big flat screen TV, a separate tub and shower, and a king sized bed. We were so tired, that we fell asleep soon after we got into our room. When I woke up, I notice that our comforter had gross food stains that were krusty on the comforter. It grossed both me and Steven out so we decided to go talk to the front desk on our way to dinner to see about getting a new comforter. Before we left our room we looked out the window to see that the snow was really starting to come down. We joked that we shouldn't of left Salt Lake because it was sunny there and snowing in Las Vegas!
While waiting in line at the front desk to talk to someone about getting a new comforter, we talked to a guy that had just come from the airport. He told us that they had stopped all flights at McClarren Airport. We felt really lucky once we learned that we were one of the last flights in!
We finally got to talk to the guy at the front desk and I told him that we had check in earlier but found gross food stains on our comforter. I told him I was sorry to incovience him, but he then corrected me and said that I shouldn't be apologizing and he apologized to me. He gave us the choice of a new room or a new comforter. I told him I was not eager to walk across the hall to the same room for a comforter. I asked if we could get a nicer room. He nodded his head and said, "I'll see what I can do." He typed on his keyboard at what seemed to be a millon words per minute and explained to us that he was able to put us in a suite on the 34th floor of the hotel and that we could go up now or waited until after we had a chance to eat dinner.
We ate at a cafe in the hotel and sat next to the window and looked out the window to see the palm trees covered in snow. I told Steven that I was just waiting for one of the palm trees to shake the snow off of its leaves like a dog would shake water off of it's back.
After dinner, we took our bags up to the new room. We were way excited, It was a really nice suite with a small dining area and a bigger bathroom. However, it was a little chilly in the room so Steven went to trun up the heat and found the panel covering the furnace unit was leaning up against the wall. After trying to call the front desk and not getting an answer, we decided to walk back down to the front desk again. We waited in line...again to talk to the same person who helped us before. He saw us and immediatly said, "Oh no, what's wrong now?"
I told him that maintenance had been through the room and it looked like they didn't have a chance to finish up. He then told that he didn't want us to have to move our bags agian and that he would have someone from maintenance up to fix it. If you were on your honeymoon, would you want to stand around waiting for maintenance to fix your heater? I certainly didn't. I simply said, "Our bags our not unpacked, they are next to the door. We really don't want to wait for maitenanace. Is it possible to get a new room?"
He replied, "Yes, hold on one moment."
Once again, he typed a million words per minute and then
walked to talk to a manager. The manager nodded to whatever the front desk man said and than the front desk man walked back and said that he was able to get us another room on a more private floor. Turns out, It was a penthouse suite on the very top floor of the hotel!
We figured out that it would have cost us $2,000 dollars if we would have just booked this room. It had four flat screen TVs, 1,050 square feet, a huge jacuzzi, a huge shower, 1 1/2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, huge windows, and another huge bed! We loved it, we called the front desk to thank the guy to help us out and to ask if we could get some bathrobes and they brought us up two brand new robes that were so soft!
Steven wanted to take his robe home.We were so high up, the picture of the Mandalay Bay sign isn't zoomed in at all. That is how close we were to it.
