We're Married!

December 16- We got married! The beginning of the day for Lexsie
started at her mom's house in Tremonton. Cassie (her older sister), woke her up at 6:30 in the morning to start getting ready! On the other hand, Steven stayed with his parents at a hotel in Salt Lake and he woke up around 7:30 that day.
After Cassie worked her magic with Lexsie's hair and Make-up, she had the task of waking up Alyson (Lexsie's mom). If anyone has ever told you that Lexsie is not a morning person, you should meet her mother. She would not get out of bed! It took 30 minutes to wake her up! As soon as Alyson woke up, Cassie started working on her hair and Lexsie started loading up the car. Once Alyson's hair was done, Lexsie and Cassie started heading to Salt Lake City.
Once we finally arrived in Salt Lake at the Temple, Steven and Lexsie waited inside until we were married! It was so beautiful.
When everyone got outside to take pictures, the weather started to act up! Snow started to come down and the wind started blowing. As soon as we called it quits on the pictures, the sun came out and it was beautiful! Oh Well . . . I am sure we still got some good ones.
Steven's dad, Jerry, learned that Lexsie's car does not turn the lights off automatically and soon found that the car he was going to pick up Lex and Steve in had a dead battery. Thankfully, he was able to get it started and come get us.
Lexsie's dad, Doug, got a hotel room for the newlyweds that the whole family used early that day to touch up hair and makeup and to sit down in while waiting for the luncheon to start. When they first got to the hotel the key wouldn't open the door. Doug had to go all the way down to the front desk to get a new key and back up to the room to try again while the majority of Lexsie's family was waiting in the hallway. The lady that worked at the front desk decided that after the second or third time, she would check the door herself-- she finally got the door open and with only a few minutes to spare, Lexsie's family had a chance to get ready.
The Luncheon was good- people had the choice to roast or toast Steve and Lex. Most everyone decided to tell funny or embarrassing stories about the newlyweds. Hopefully, everyone got a good laugh.
All in all, the day was wonderful!
