Another Domestic Goddess Thingie.
A while back, I looked into taking a Cake Decorating class. I needed something that I could do on my very own that was not church or work related. I was unable to get into any of the classes and kind of gave up on the idea of becoming a cupcake diva. I seriously dreamed of making Birthday Cakes that people would just be like, "You made that?!?!?! That is so lovely!"
I wanted so badly to one day make Birthday Cakes for my children that the other mothers would awww over. Super lame I know, but that is what I thought of. In the very back of my mind, I was the next Martha S. and hosting my own TV show teaching people like me now how to be crafty fabulous--but that was just a small thought :)
Well, I have the cutest friend who asked me if I wanted to take the class with her. It re-motivated me and I signed up and now I am learning how to frost and decorate cakes.
Well, I am no Martha-- but here are some of the things I've done . . .
The first class we frosted cookies
The Second class we learned how to frost a cake. First we had to cut it in half to give it some filling...
Second, we frosted the cake
Than we smoothed out the frosting
Than we decorated the Cake!
And WALLA!!
That is so cute! I am so proud of you! I am so sorry I never learned how to decorate cakes! I always wanted to make you really cool ones too. You poor child, had to suffer with Smith's. I am so proud of you! The problem s, now everyone will ask you to bring the cake. Love you, Mom
